Michelle & Jamel // Swan Coach House Wedding

Wedding at the Atlanta Swan Coach House

In December of 2013, my friend Michelle asked me to take her engagement photos. I hadn't done anyone's engagement pictures before, so I was pretty reluctant. But in January, I did it, and it was awesome! Still to this day, those are some of my favorite pictures I've ever taken. These two are not only amazing clients but some of my very close friends. When it came time for them to plan their wedding, they wanted & believed in me as their photographer, and assured me that I was more than capable even though I hadn't shot a wedding yet. Now that is faith! And I love them for that. I was nervous, anxious, but so ready for their day. This day holds so much joy in my heart and my mind. While there were hiccups (naturally), the day was overall sooo so good. I was able to have my friend & amazing photographer Lindsay join me. We worked so well together--she has an amazing eye & I'm so thankful for what she captured and for her being SO much fun to be around on such a hectic day. Jamel and Michelle were fun, relaxed, trusting, and beautiful. Lots of my good friends were guests and my older sister was even a bridesmaid. For this to be my first wedding was a huge blessing. Love the Jenkins!

Jamel & Michelle decided to pray together without seeing each other before the ceremony. This moment was so, so moving for everyone in the room. I loved that they invited their bridal party and parents to be part of this incredibly special moment.

Jamel & Michelle, thank you for the 500th time for everything. For praying over me, for believing in me, for trusting me, & so much more. Your relationship with each other and with our beautiful Father inspires me. I can't wait for more photos in the future--anniversaries, pregnancy announcements, maternity, newborn, & more :)
